St. John's University awarded Dr. Chao with the Medal of Honor and named him Trustee of the Board.

At St. John's University's 112th Commencement Exercises on September 25, 1981, Dr. James S.C. Chao was presented the University's highest award, the Medal of Honor. Dr. Chao received his MBA from St. John's in 1965, and is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Coll ege of Business Administration.
