Zooming in on the Ruth Mulan Chu Chao Center at Harvard Business School
May 12, 2015
In 2012 Dr. James S.C. Chao and Chao family foundations gave Harvard Business School a generous gift, to construct an international executive center and fund a fellowship program that provides financial support for needy students. Two weeks ago, on April 24th, their gift facilitated a major leap forward in the project, as all exterior work on the Ruth Mulan Chu Chao Center was completed. On hand to share in the joy of this momentous occasion were Dr. Chao and his daughters, including Angela Chao, Deputy Chair of Foremost Group and Harvard graduate, Nitin Nohria, Dean of Harvard Business School, and Robert C. O’Leary, Senior VP of the construction firm delivering the build. The Center, which is the first building on the HBS campus to be named after a woman, is expected to be completed in 2016. It will be a mega-hub for the many thousands of international students who come each year to participate in executive programs at HBS.
